Case Study on Singapore and the Green Fuel Transition
The Methanol Opportunity Map (MOM) is an interactive decision-support tool that brings together global data on methanol bunkering infrastructure, ports, maritime decarbonization policies, and vessel traffic to identify where methanol adoption is most likely to succeed in the near-term. To illustrate how the MOM's data layers can be used to assess real-world ports, we developed this StoryMap that explores one of the world's most strategically important maritime hubs: Singapore.
Through this case study, the convergence of infrastructure, regulation, and shipping activity illustrates why Singapore has emerged as a leader in the maritime fuel transition—and how the same data-driven approach can identify emerging opportunities at ports around the world.
Explore the StoryMap below, then visit the Methanol Opportunity Map (MOM) to investigate the data yourself and compare opportunities across the global maritime network.
